Planned Parenthood Southeast will host a book event in Decatur with New York Times bestselling author Tayari Jones.

Journalist and author Denene Millner will interview Jones, who will also read from her novel, “An American Marriage.” Additionally, Jones will sign copies of the book, which recently won the Booker Prize for Women’s Fiction, according to a Planned Parenthood press release.

The event will be hosted by Angela Burt-Murray at Charis Books & More, which is located at 184 S. Candler St. in Decatur. It will take place on Wednesday, July 31, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Parking for the event is available in Agnes Scott’s S. Candler lot, which is adjacent to the bookstore. Appetizers and wine will be served.

All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Planned Parenthood Southeast. Tickets cost $100 and can be purchased here.
