On Saturday, August 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Emory Healthcare is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week with global awareness event, The Big Latch On.

According to a recent press release, “breastfeeding couplets at different locations around the world will all ‘latch on’ and be counted to raise awareness for breastfeeding.”

Whether you’re a breastfeeding professional or supporter, all are invited to participate. There will be games and raffle prizes as well as music. Attendees can talk with lactation professionals from Emory Decatur Hospital and eat cake.

The event is free and will be held on the first floor of the Dr. Bobbie Bailey Women’s Tower Auditorium, located at 2701 North Decatur Road. Free parking is available under the auditorium in the deck.
