Avondale Estates Assistant City Manager Keri Stevens is leaving the city for a job in Gwinnett County.
City Manager Patrick Bryant confirmed the news, saying, “She is resigning because she was presented with another career opportunity that she didn’t want to pass on.”
The resignation isn’t immediate. Her last day will be Aug. 23, Bryant said.
Stevens became the city’s first planner in 2010, working previously with the city of Clarkston and Chamblee, according to an Atlanta Journal Constitution article published at the time.
In 2018, Bryant promoted her to Assistant City Manager, according to the AJC.
