Brian Fisher, Avondale Estates Mayor Pro Tem, will seek a second term on the Avondale Estates City Commission.
“I feel that we are so close to completing transformational projects here in the city, and I want to be a part of this important change,” Fisher said. “I hope the citizens of Avondale Estates give me the opportunity to serve them for another four years.”
Fisher became Mayor Pro Tem in 2017.
“Brian is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banker for SouthCrest Bank, where he is responsible for growing existing relationships and risk management for the Metro Atlanta market,” his campaign announcement says. “Brian has over 22 years of banking experience in the Atlanta region. He first began his banking career in Atlanta with Wachovia Bank as a Commercial Banker and worked with the company until 2007, with responsibilities for the Small Business Banking Segment for Metro Atlanta. Since Wachovia, he has worked with community banks in both Commercial Banking and Wealth Management, attaining the Certified Financial Planner ™ designation in 2012.”
He graduated from the 2014 Leadership Gwinnett Class and has served as a board member for the senior living communities of Clairmont and Briarcliff Oaks in Decatur.
“Brian has actively been involved with The Museum School of Avondale Estates where he served as a PTO officer and on the finance committee,” his campaign announcement says. “He has also previously served as Finance Committee Chair and on the Board of Deacons at First Baptist Church Decatur.”
Brian is married to Angela, his wife of 18 years, and they have three daughters: Reese, Libby and Blythe.
