On Saturday, Sept. 7, at 3 p.m., Decatur Kid Concerts, LLC, brings folk musician, John McCutcheon, to Oakhurst Baptist Church in Decatur for a children’s music concert, benefiting Kids in Need of Defense (KIND).

KIND is a non-profit legal services organization that works to provide lawyers, free-of-charge, for unaccompanied kids who need help getting through an immigration court.

“We are thrilled that an artist of John McCutcheon’s caliber is performing in a concert for children to support children in collaboration with KIND,” Christina Iturralde Thomas, an attorney for KIND, said in a recent press release. “These are such incredibly challenging times for immigrants, and especially KIND’s clients who are unaccompanied children. Raising awareness of KIND’s efforts and gaining community support allows KIND to serve even more kids.”

Those interested in seeing John McCutcheon perform and supporting KIND can purchase tickets here.
