The city of Tucker reports that CSX will be doing some maintenance on its lines in Tucker starting on Monday, Aug. 12 and ending Friday, Aug. 16.

‘CSX will be performing maintenance work next week on the railroad that cuts through the heart of Tucker, meaning some drivers will need to use detours to complete their daily commute,” the city announced. “Montreal and Brockett Roads will be shut down at their railroad crossings from 6 a.m. Monday until 6 p.m. Friday, according to the railroad’s project managers. Alternate routes for drivers trying to connect between Lawrenceville Highway and Lavista Road include Fellowship Road and Northlake Parkway. CSX will have electronic message boards out this week to alert drivers to the work.”

The city notes that construction could be affected by the weather or the work could be finished earlier than Friday.
