The 13th annual Kirkwood Wine Stroll will take place late next month in the historic Kirkwood neighborhood, according to an event press release.
Proceeds from the Wine Stroll are used to enhance the downtown business district and help fund other Kirkwood nonprofit organizations and events, event organizers said.
The event features 84 wine samples from across the world, along with local food available for purchase and great local bands. Dining options include tapas type portions available for purchase from Urban Pie, Kirkyard Public House, Poppa Corns: Gourmet Popcorn and Artistic Soul Catering.
There will also local craft beer selections from Second Self Beer Company, and other businesses will offer specials, discounts, prize drawings and demonstrations, the release said.
In addition, the event will feature a line-up of local bands playing jazz, acoustic and electric music across three different stages. Performers include Elegant Bachelors, Cosmic Debris, PRINCE: A Celebration of the Genius, Bonaventure Quartet, Will Scruggs, The Bullfrogs, Brian Revels and Vivian Slade.
The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 20, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Event check-in will take place both at the Sherwin Williams at the intersection of Hosea Williams Drive and Howard Street NE, and at Urban Pie at the intersection of Hosea Williams Drive and Kirkwood Road.
Tickets are available here for $40 each – but prices will increase to $50 on Sept. 15. This a 21-year and older event, and photo ID is required.
