This Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., University of Georgia’s DeKalb County Cooperative Extension is hosting the Fall Harvest Festival to finish off Fresh on Dek, DeKalb County Mobile Farmers Market, and the end of its fifth season.

The festival will be held at the DeKalb County Extension Office, located at 4380 Memorial Drive in Decatur.

According to a recent press release, the purpose of this end-of-season festival is “to express gratitude to the community which has helped the Extension Office to relieve food access barriers by providing fresh produce paired with nutrition education programming around County.”

Festival goers will get the opportunity to buy discounted fresh produce as well as enjoy the Cooperative Extension’s educational demonstrations. In addition, kids at the festival can look forward to activities and games for their age group.
