Christine Bloodworth will run for the District 1, Post 2 seat on the Tucker City Council in the Nov. 5 election.

She will run against incumbent Councilmember Bill Rosenfeld. This is the only contested race on the ballot in Tucker this year.

Bloodworth has lived in Tucker for 26 years.

“We’re still a fairly new city and, while we are growing and making great strides economically, several needs of the community continued to be overlooked and as someone who engages frequently with the community, I would like to see more positive changes occur,” she said in her campaign announcement.

She’s currently the Executive Director of Omega Support Services, a non profit that supports startups and small businesses. She said the organization also provides women entrepreneurs training and consumer and business credit services. She is currently enrolled in an MPA Program at Regent University.

Bloodworth describes herself as a “serial entrepreneur” who has operated four other businesses in Tucker.

“Ms. Bloodworth is happily single, building her business and spending time with her two children and three grandchildren,” her campaign announcement says.

She said the best way to reach her is calling 470-236-1306 or sending an email to [email protected].
