On Thursday morning, Sept. 19, the city of Decatur Police Department will host a Coffee with a Cop event, offering an opportunity for informal conversation with local police officers.

According to the event Facebook page, the event is intended to provide opportunities for both personal conversations and the chance to raise questions or concerns about the community.

The free, public event will take place from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Decatur, located at 308 Clairemont Ave. Free coffee and sweets will be provided.

Attendees can drop in at any point and do not have to stay the whole time.
