Later this month, the Little Creek Farm Conservancy will host its annual HorseFest, “celebrating the horse and all things equine,” according to a press release.

The festival will offer pony rides for “aspiring cowgirls and boys” ages 2 – 15 years old, as well as face painting, crafts and games, equine demonstrations, educational sessions, food trucks, an artisans’ market and an auction. Additionally, the event will feature little ponies for children under 4-years old to ride.

All proceeds from the event will benefit conservation and improvements at Little Creek Horse Farm, a DeKalb County park, the release said. The park covers over 40 acres along the South Fork Peachtree Creek and is home to 45 horses. Little Creek Horse Farm also hosts two riding schools and the Stride Ahead equine-assisted therapies program.

This festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, at the park, which is located at 2057 Lawrenceville Hwy. in Decatur. All parking will be available at North DeKalb Mall, and free shuttles to the event will be waiting at the mall.

Admission to HorseFest is $6, and children under 3 are admitted free of charge. Pony rides are $5 to $10 depending on the number of trips around the arena. To buy advance tickets, go here.
