Next Monday, MARTA will host a public hearing about proposed bus service modifications to three DeKalb County routes.

The public hearing will take place on Monday, Sept. 16 at the DeKalb County Public Library, located at 215 Sycamore St. in Decatur.

A community exchange will begin at 6 p.m, with MARTA representatives on hand to discuss the proposed modifications. From there, the public hearing will begin at 7 p.m.

According to a MARTA press release, modifications to the routes were recommended based on feedback received from customers and an internal service analysis.

The following routes will be discussed:

– Route 19: Clairmont Road

– Route 123: Church Street/North DeKalb Mall

– Route 823: Belvedere

All changes accepted by the MARTA Board of Directors will become effective on Dec. 7, MARTA said.

A sign language interpreter will be available at the hearing.
