On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the 43rd Annual Seed & Feed Sacred Harp Singing will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Church of Christ, located at 1625 Cooledge Road in Tucker.

“Sacred Harp singing is a participatory communal singing tradition, in existence in the United States since the eighteenth century,” according to a recent press release. “There are no performers, audience or rehearsals in Sacred Harp singing. Anyone may lead a song from the tune book.”

Everyone is invited to this free and family-friendly day, filled with singing from the Sacred Harp songbook. No matter your singing experience, anyone can come for any part of the day to sing or listen.

Singing will begin at 10 a.m. and last through noon. Free food will be available at 12 p.m., served in the form of an hour-long traditional dinner, and then singing will resume.

In addition, there will be Sacred Harp song books to buy or rent at the event.
