A series of three Park Pride grants, totaling $12,500, was recently awarded to make improvements on the city of Tucker parks, thanks to a collaboration between Tucker’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Tucker Parks.

“We’re so delighted with our partnerships with Park Pride and our Friends groups,” Tucker Parks and Recreation Director Rip Robertson said in a recent city press release. “This grant money will help make a tangible difference in our parks and really enhance the outdoor experience for our residents.”

This series of grants will go to fund the following projects, according to a recent city press release:

– Adult exercise equipment in Peters Park – $5,000

– Educational signage pilot program in Kelley Cofer Park – $5,000

– Two sets of stairs on the red trail at Henderson Park – $2,500
