Living Walls is working with MARTA Artbound and artist Eversiempre to produce a mural at the East Lake MARTA station. On Oct. 26 and 27, Living Walls and Eversiempre are hosting show and tell events to get inspiration from the community for the design of the mural.

“Ever begins his pieces like anthropological investigations of social life and uses symbols that represent economic, social, and cultural factors and would like to invite you to be a part of this process,” the Facebook event says.

Residents are invited to bring objects and stories that represent their landscape and history of them and the community.

“These points of connection will represent a cross-section of the anthropology of East Lake. The project relies on interaction as a mechanism for generating meaning. The observer completes the construction of the piece when they enter into dialogue with the elements and items that are from their own daily life,” Eversiempre said on the Facebook event.

The events are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Atlanta Friends Meeting, 701 W Howard Ave, Decatur, GA 30030, and Sunday at Oakhurst Baptist Church, 222 E Lake Dr, Decatur, Georgia 30030.
