DeKalb Police: Suspect stole purse from customer at north Decatur Kroger, then stole vehicle

A customer at Kroger on North Decatur Road on Sunday, Nov. 24 had her purse and then her vehicle stolen while she was inside the supermarket.

Police responded to the Kroger around 1 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the police report, the victim said someone stole her purse while she was at the Starbucks inside the Kroger store. She said her purse was on the front counter at Starbucks. .

The suspect stole the key to the victim’s vehicle, a gold 2007 Chevrolet Equinox SUV and then apparently stole the vehicle from the store’s parking lot. In addition, the suspect took her credit cards, house keys, driver’s license, iPhone and $5 in cash. Police couldn’t locate any witnesses at the scene.
