DeKalb County says lane closures along Scott Boulevard/Lawrenceville Highway between DeKalb Industrial Way and Jordan Lane will now continue through Nov. 16.

The county initially planned to end the closures by Oct. 31. It’s not clear why the county has pushed the date back.

The closures are part of a water main replacement project on Scott Boulevard.

“The right eastbound traffic lane along Scott Boulevard/ Lawrenceville Highway, between DeKalb Industrial Way and Jordan Lane, will remain closed daily between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.,” the county says. “Additionally, the same area will remain closed daily between 9 a.m. and noon., for paving.  Jordan Lane also remains closed to through-traffic to accommodate construction of the Scott Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project, which includes the upsizing of nearly 2,400 feet of water pipe in the DeKalb Industrial Boulevard area.”
