A recent real estate listing says that 2202 Northlake Parkway for sale. The building houses the Old Hickory House barbecue restaurant, which has been at that location since the 70s.

The building’s owner is asking for $2.1 million.

“Once part of a larger building complex, the balance of the property was sold off and is being redeveloped into 247 apartments by Fairfield Residential,” the real estate listing says. “The subject property will be disrupted during the redevelopment but Fairfield Residential will return all areas to good working order.”

Old Hickory House manager Dan Jackson said the restaurant has no plans to close. He told Decaturish, “We’re going to stay here.”

“It’s not us. It’s just the land,” Jackson said. “They sold off the rest of the shopping center. [The owner is] trying to sell this parcel to somebody else.”

According to the listing, Old Hickory House’s lease expires in 2022 and they have one five-year option remaining.

A message left with the broker was not immediately returned.
