DeKalb offers educational series to support nonprofit organizations affected by COVID-19

Decatur, GA – The DeKalb County Human Services Department, Office of Youth Services, in partnership with Georgia Piedmont Technical College, announces a two-part educational series for local nonprofit organizations serving youth in DeKalb County, a press release said.

All nonprofits associated with the DeKalb Alliance on Youth or that provide services to youth in DeKalb County are invited to join this virtual educational opportunity.

The first workshop, “Access to Capital/Small Business/Non-Profit Assistance Under the CARES Act,” will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 1 p.m., according to the press release. The second workshop, “Managing Customer Connection Through Other Channels – Internet and Social Media,” will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 1 p.m. The workshops will take place as webinars and Continuing Educational Credits are available.

Training is free and registration is required. To be eligible, nonprofit organizations must provide services to youth in DeKalb County, the press release said.
