Man arrested after allegedly committing a ‘lewd act’ in the Decatur Cemetery

Decatur, GA — Decatur Police on May 15 arrested a man after he allegedly committed a “lewd act” in the Decatur Cemetery.

Police responded to the cemetery, located off Commerce Drive, at 6:12 p.m.

“An adult female and a juvenile female stated they witnessed a man remove his penis from his pants and begin to masturbate while watching them,” a spokesperson for the Police Department said. “Officers located the male and placed him under arrest for the act.”

The man was identified as 55-year-old Homer, Ga. man and he was charged with cruelty to children in the second degree, enticing a child for indecent purposes and public indecency.
