Clarkston, GA — DeKalb County fire officials said there were no injuries as the result of a Feb. 5 apartment fire in Clarkston.

The fire occurred at a complex located at 3815 Brockett Trail off of Brockett Road. Firefighters were still at the scene as of 1 p.m. Friday. Capt. Dion Bentley said there were two units on the third floor involved in the blaze. The building has 12 units total.

Multiple people have been displaced and people living in the units fled the smoke and flames.

“Thankfully no reports of injuries at this time,” Bentley said.

He said half of the building’s roof was involved with the fire, but the firefighters kept it from spreading farther. There were 37 first responders on the scene.

“The Red Cross has been notified and right now it looks like we have it under control,” Bentley said.
