DeKalb County, GA — DeKalb Police said on May 4 they found a man in critical condition when they responded to an accident.

The accident occurred on U.S. 78 near North Druid Hills Road, police said.

“[DeKalb Police] responded to the area in reference to a vehicle accident,” a spokesperson for the Police Department said. “Once on scene, officers located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. It appears that the altercation began as a dispute at a nearby apartment complex that then turned mobile.”

Witnesses saw numerous emergency vehicles at the Valley Brook Crossing apartment complex near Scottdale. They also reported hearing multiple gunshots.
