Tucker, GA — Tucker First United Methodist Church (Tucker First UMC) will hold a Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 9 at 10 a.m., a press release said.

Traditionally held in October and associated with St. Francis of Assisi, the service celebrates the bond of love and respect that animals have with their humans, and that humans have with all creation. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring any pet with fur, feathers, or scales or a photo of your pet and have them blessed by a pastor.

Tucker First UMC is located at 5095 LaVista Road. The outdoor service will be held behind the church in the parking lot of the Wesley Center at 2347 Fourth Street (old Tucker Post Office). If you would like to sit, bring your own lawn chair.
