Clarkston, GA — The Clarkston Police Department reported that Blaise Barnett was found safe and in good condition on Thursday, Nov. 11. Barnett was transported to the hospital this afternoon, where he will be further assessed.

At about 2:30 p.m., Clarkston Police received a call from a homeowner on Rogers Street stating she found a baby in a vehicle in her driveway.

“She took the baby inside her home. When officers arrived, they met with paramedics who performed a medical check on baby Blaise, and they assessed the situation,” Clarkston Public Information Officer Sgt. Dustin Bulcher said during a press conference. “At that time we took baby Blaise back here to the police department and reunited him with his family.”

Bulcher added that he is not sure if the vehicle belonged to the homeowner or how long Barnett was in the car.

“On November 10, 2021, at 1 a.m. [Blaise] Barnett was abducted from 1000 Montreal Road in Clarkston,” the Clarkston Police Department said in a Facebook post. “[Blaise] Barnett was seated inside this 2002 Ford Explorer when it was stolen from in front of his home.”

On Wednesday, Clarkston Police, with the help of DeKalb County Police, were able to locate the 2002 Ford Explorer within the Brannon Hills Condos, located off Memorial College Avenue. The vehicle was unoccupied. Barnett and his car seat were missing from the vehicle. The vehicle was processed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Clarkston Police Department at 404-557-8956.
