Tucker, GA — A food drive, wellness check and winter gear giveaway is planned in Tucker for Nov. 20 from 12-5 p.m. Held by Omega Support Center and Grace Wellness Clinic, the outreach event is being held at Omega’s office, 4213 Fellowship Road.

The event will provide up to $7,500 of food, winter clothes and blankets, as well as health checks and other resources. Vaccinations will be given by the Dekalb Board of Health.

Omega Support Center is seeking volunteers to work at the event. Donations, including socks, winter gloves, hats, scarves, hoodies and fleece blankets, are being accepted Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Omega Support Center.

According to Christine Bloodworth, executive director of Omega Support Center, 20 non-profits and faith-based organizations are collaborating to provide much-needed resources within the Tucker community.

The goal is to help 500 families with resources and supplies, said Bloodworth. Nearby senior residents will receive a meal delivery.
