Stone Mountain City Council, Post 4: Gil Freeman beat incumbent Diana Roe Hollis with 45.9% of the vote. Freeman’s campaign centered on having an “ethical, empathetic and equitable demeanor” that gives him the “ability to take a stand against the consistent gaslighting of the community with unfulfilled promises while simultaneously gridlocking and stonewalling necessary changes and improvements,” he wrote in a candidate Q&A.

Stone Mountain City Council, Post 5: Shawnette Bryant (incumbent) took a win with 55.8% of the vote. Bryant told Tucker Observer she wants accessible, weekly COVID-19 testing for residents of Stone Mountain and to keep millage rates low.

Stone Mountain City Council, Post 6: Teresa B. Crowe won with 38.2% of the vote.

“I am super excited about the win. I am committed to work with the city council, both existing and new, to make Stone Mountain the vibrant, diverse and inclusive community it should be,” said Crowe, who ran on a platform of revitalizing downtown among other issues.
