DeKalb County, GA — A $100 incentive for COVID-19 vaccinations brought 2,000 people out to the old K-Mart in Doraville on Saturday, Dec. 4.

“We are overwhelmed by the turnout for this COVID-19 vaccination event where more people have taken action to protect themselves, their families and community,” DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond said in a press release.

DeKalb County has vaccinated more than 8,000 people by offering gift cards to those who attend the county’s vaccination events.

Everyone who got a shot also got a $100 pre-paid debit card.
