Registration for College Heights pre-K, after school program will open in February

Decatur, GA — New families can register at College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center beginning Feb. 1.

The child must be four years old as of Sept. 1, 2022 to be eligible. Children who are five years old prior to Sept. 1 must register for kindergarten. Parents or guardians must fill out the online application prior to submitting supporting documents to College Heights, according to an announcement from the school.

Parents or guardians will have to bring the following documents to College Heights on Monday, Wednesday or Thursdays between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the month of February.

– Proof of Residency (lease, deed, payment/coupon book, property tax or settlement statement and a current utility bill). If providing a lease the student’s name must be listed as an occupant.

– Birth Certificate (certified original)

– Immunization (Form 3231)

– Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutrition (Form 3300)

– Student’s Social Security Card

– Picture ID of guardian

Documents must be submitted by Feb. 28 no later than 1 p.m. to be considered for the pre-K lottery.

Tables will be set up on the front porch of the school and staff will be available to meet parents to review and copy their documents. Applications that lack all required documentation will not be accepted so please come prepared. All individuals must
wear a mask

The electronic lottery will be conducted on March 3. Parents or guardians of students on the waitlist will be notified no later than March 4. Parents or guardians of students who have been accepted will receive a confirmation email by the end of March.

Parents who are new to College Heights and whose child has received a pre-K slot for the 2022-2023 school year, can register for the after school program beginning March 7. Applications will be available online or at the school.

The deadline to register for the after school program is March 31 at 3 p.m. A lottery will be held on April 1. Once notified, parents will have 72 hours to accept the spot and submit the $50 registration fee.

For families currently enrolled in College Heights and the Frasier Center Program, registration packets for pre-K and the after school program will be sent home with students at the beginning of February. The forms must be returned to the school with the $50 after school program registration free by 3 p.m. on Feb. 28.
