Decatur Police make arrest in 2021 stabbing incident

Decatur, GA — Decatur Police on Jan. 31 made an arrest in a stabbing that occurred in 2021.

Police responded to the incident on Sept. 23, around 11:52 a.m.

“The adult male victim in the case informed officers he was stabbed while speaking with the suspect in this case while standing within the 400 block of Church Street. The investigation revealed the suspect and victim both had previous interactions with each other on the Decatur Square,” Sgt. John Bender said. “The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”

A warrant was obtained for the suspect, a 48-year-old DeKalb County Man. Police located him in the 200 block of Sycamore Street on Jan. 31 and arrested him on a charge of aggravated assault.
