Decaturish.com offers new payment method for supporters

Share

People who want to become paying supporters of Decaturish.com and Tuckerobserver.com have a new payment option.

This week, Decaturish began offering readers the choice of using Stripe payments to support their local news source. This is an additional payment option. We also offer readers the ability to use Paypal and Venmo. Any reader who wishes to change payment methods to use Stripe can contact the editor at [email protected] to cancel your Paypal supporter account. (Venmo does not currently allow recurring payments.)

In another housekeeping move, Decaturish has consolidated the support pages for Decaturish.com and Tuckerobserver.com. Anyone who signs up to become a paying supporter of Decaturish will support all Decaturish-owned websites, including the Tucker Observer. To become a paying supporter, visit supportmylocalnews.com.

Decaturish has more than 1,500 paying supporters who help us provide local news to our community. Thanks to their contributions, Decaturish was able to hire its first full-time reporter in 2021. As our subscriber base grows, we intend to hire more reporters and freelancers to help us tell the stories of our community.

Several supporters of our site have shared their experiences with our readers. We encourage you to listen to what your friends and neighbors have to say about why supporting local news is important to them.
