DeKalb Police seek public’s help finding hit-and-run driver who killed 22-year-old

DeKalb County, GA — DeKalb County Police are asking for the public’s help finding a hit-and-run driver.

The driver is accused of hitting and killing Kenya Smith, 22, while she was walking to work. The crash occurred on Jan. 31 along Marbut Road near Lithonia Industrial Boulevard.

The driver did not stop, and a passerby found her and called police, a spokesperson for the police department said.

“The make and model of the vehicle are unknown, but it should have damage to its right front side,” the spokesperson for the Police Department said. “Anyone with info is asked to call detectives at 770-724-7610 or Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS.”
