Decatur, GA — Legacy Park spotlighted its non-profit tenants during a Community Day event on Sunday, Feb. 27.

The damp weather moved most of the activities indoors to Cochran Hall where Paint Love, The Wylde Center, Decatur Education Foundation, The Object Group and Decatur Fire Rescue hosted family-friendly activities and handed out information while musicians strummed at Frank Hamilton School’s folk music open jam.

Food was available from members of Refugee Women’s Network Chefs Club who served up Afghan, Ethiopian, Eritian and Egyptian dishes. Wild Nest Bird Rehab held a pine cone feeder demonstration and led a bird walk down to the lake, while aspiring playwrights had their manuscripts read by professional actors during the Essential Theatre Introduction to Playwriting Workshop Showcase.
