Decatur, GA —  The MLK Marker Committee on Feb. 28, unveiled the MLK Mural at Carl G. Renfroe Middle School in Decatur. The mural was primarily the work of students who were assisted by artist Jamaali Roberts, a former Renfroe student and 2007 graduate of Decatur High School.

The committee used leftover funds from money raised for the Decatur MLK Marker that was installed on the corner of N. McDonough and W. Trinity Place in April of 2021 for the Renfroe MLK Mural project.

“To be making art and to be sowing seeds of creativity back into the community which raised me, I’m elated,” Roberts said.
