Tucker, GA — The Tucker Planning Commission meeting, scheduled for March 17, has been canceled. The city’s website states there is nothing on the agenda.

SDM Partners, whose plan to redevelop a commercial property at 2245 Northlake Parkway passed in June 2021, is returning to Tucker with a plan to develop an adjacent property into 216 residential units. SDM plans to apply for a Special Land Use Permit (SLUP) for a mixed-use, multi-family development.

“You may recall that the 2245 parcel, which is the front and older building, was rezoned last year to allow an 80-unit townhome development. That property is included in this discussion because of the need to modify a condition of that approval to relocate visitor parking. Otherwise, that property remains as approved and we expect development on this townhome project to begin this spring,” reads a letter to neighbors of the property.

A public participation meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 30 at 2247 Northlake Parkway.

Also in the area, AHS Residential is proposing to build 500 units including 15% affordable housing at Tucker Exchange, located at 2059 Northlake Parkway.
