Water line replacement project on Haygood Drive begins March 1

Greater Decatur, GA — DeKalb County is launching the Haygood Drive water line replacement project on Tuesday, March 1, as part of an effort to improve water service capacity throughout the county. Work will include installing 1,250 linear feet of new water line on Haygood Drive between Clifton Road and Ridgewood Drive.
The line repair project is expected to last about three months, until May, barring any weather delays, according to a press release.
Motorists should expect delays stemming from the lane closure. Lane closure signs and traffic flaggers will assist motorists in moving safely around the lane closure. Construction crews will work to minimize the length of impact to motorists.
