Crash seriously injures teenage cyclist in Tucker

Tucker, GA — A May 16 crash near the Value Village Thrift Store in Tucker left a teenager seriously injured.

Officers responded at about 5 p.m. to the scene along Brockett Road.

“At approximately [5 p.m.], officers responded to a vehicle [crash] involving a bicycle at Brockett Road and Lawrenceville Highway,” a spokesperson for DeKalb Police said. “When they arrived, they located a male in his late teens who had been riding the bike with injuries from the collision. He was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. Our Traffic Specialist Unit was notified and responded to the scene. The [crash] remains under investigation. We have no additional information at this time.”
