DeKalb County, GA — The North Shore Road water main replacement project will launch on Thursday, Aug. 18, as part of an effort to improve water service capacity throughout DeKalb County.

DeKalb County is hosting a virtual community meeting on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom to share more information about the projects. To join the Zoom meeting, click here.

Crews will replace 11,200 linear feet of crumbling water lines with new 8-inch-diameter, ductile-iron water lines along North Shore Road, according to a press release.

The project is expected to take about four months and be completed in December, barring any weather delays.

Construction will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. Residents and drivers should expect an increase in construction-related noise and traffic during the work hours.
