Stone Mountain resident will participate in Great Wisconsin Quilt Show in Madison

Stone Mountain, GA — Stone Mountain resident Marquetta Johnson will lead a presentation at the Great Wisconsin Quilt Show, Sept. 8-10 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
Johnson is known for her quilting and sewing expertise, according a press release.
The one-hour lecture is titled “The Adventures of Marquetta Johnson, Textile Queen” during the event.
“These educational sessions, led by expert quilters, provide an opportunity for quilters of all experience levels to acquire new ideas and broaden their skill set,” the press release says. ” … The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show includes dozens of educational lectures and workshops led by expert quilters; beautiful quilt exhibits; shopping opportunities from trusted vendors, featuring the latest fabrics and notions; and a community service project — Quilt to Give — in which attendees donate their materials and skills to create quilts for those in need.”
