Tucker, GA — Pontoon Brewing’s Tucker location is officially open.

The first day of business in Tucker was Sept. 30. The address is 4720 Stone Drive, Suite A, in Tucker.

The Sandy Springs-based brewery will hold an official grand opening celebration of its Tucker location on Saturday Nov. 19, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., with special beer releases, live music, local food, commemorative glasses and merchandise, a press release says. Pontoon Brewing was founded in 2014.

“Since then, their reach has grown into distribution all over the country and Pontoon Brewing is excited to expand their production facilities to continue growth,” a press release from the company says. “The 33,000 square foot facility will house a taproom, private event space and a production brewing system. Appropriately named ‘The Lodge,’ the location will expand the Pontoon Lifestyle with an appreciation for all things outdoors and the proximity to Stone Mountain will play a major factor in the interior décor of this two-story space.”

The Lodge includes a 5-vessel semi-automated 30-barrel Alpha Brewing Ops brew house, as well as a 5-barrel Tiantai pilot system, the press release says.

“The Sandy Springs production facility will continue to operate and give Pontoon Brewing the opportunity to expand their experimental wild ale programs, barrel-aging programs and more,” the press release says.

Pontoon Brewing owners Sean O’Keefe and Marcus Powers said they are “really excited” about their expansion plans.

“This expansion to Tucker is a perfect fit,” the press release says. “We’ll have a taproom with a Tucker-specific feel to it to bring our brand of fun and exciting beers to an entirely new area of Georgia, and we’ll also have a much larger production area to allow us to build on our distribution successes both inside and outside of Georgia. We feel like our radical approach to brewing will bring something truly unique to Tucker and the growing craft brewing scene here.”
