Clarkston Police investigating shooting on Brockett Road

Clarkston, GA — The Clarkston Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a 37-year-old man.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Clarkston Police responded to a shopping center at 1353 Brockett Road at about 4 a.m. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers were approached by a 41-year-old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, according to a press release.

Further investigation led police to a parked vehicle within the parking lot. They discovered a second male victim who was 37 years old, and who had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.

The officers immediately performed life-saving measures on the wounded men until medical services arrived. The 37-year-old man was pronounced dead when medical services arrived at the scene.  The 41-year-old man was transported to a local hospital.

This is an open investigation. Detectives are currently interviewing all witnesses to determine what led to the shooting.
