Decaturish began a push for new subscribers on April 26. We’re trying to get 700 new sign-ups by July 1.

So far, we’ve had a decent response, with 80 new subscriptions. Currently, we have about 2,640 subscribers. We’ve had several of our longtime subscribers up their monthly contributions. Decaturish tries to hold a quarterly virtual town hall for our subscribers featuring a special guest, usually someone prominent within our community. We work with our advertisers to provide our subscribers with exclusive deals.

More often than not, Decaturish is the only media outlet telling stories about your community. While other media outlets have largely abandoned covering smaller communities in DeKalb County, we have continued to expand our coverage. Readers in Stone Mountain, Tucker, and Clarkston are now part of our website, getting the same coverage that Decatur, Avondale Estates and Kirkwood/East Lake have gotten for years. We always want to bring news to more underserved communities.
