Tucker, GA — The Taste of Tucker event scheduled for Oct. 1 has been rescheduled to Oct. 15 due to the anticipated bad weather from Hurricane Ian.

The event will be held on Main Street in Tucker.

“TASTE OF TUCKER HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED! WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOU JOINING US ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15TH FROM 1PM TO 6 P.M.,” the event organizers said on their Facebook page. “Due to weather concerns emanating from Hurricane Ian’s trajectory, and the impact it may have on our community and everyone’s safety, the Taste of Tucker Team has decided to reschedule Taste of Tucker 2022 to October 15th. SAME PLACE. SAME FUN. JUST A NEW DATE! May all in the path of Ian remain safe. We look forward to getting together on October 15th.”

A commenter on the event’s Facebook page noted the storm’s trajectory has moved east of Atlanta and the forecast is promising for this weekend.

“It stinks, but is what it is,” the event organizers replied. “A decision had to be made so our participating restaurants and vendors could make proper arrangements with ordering, staffing, etc. We did what was best at the time and are looking forward to a beautiful day on the 15th.”
