Emory Libraries and BronzeLens Film Festival partner for this virtual film screening and conversation for Black History Month in February. This event will begin with the film “Flash Here and There Like Falling Stars: The Life and Work of Pellom McDaniels III,” followed by a conversation moderated by Nsenga Burton, co-director of Emory University’s Film and Media Management concentration. The event honors the contributions of Pellom McDaniels III, former NFL player, Emory professor of African American Studies and curator of African American collections at the Rose Library who passed away in April 2020. Speakers will include author and professor Valerie Boyd, arts executive Leatrice Ellzy, artist Fahamu Pecou, and sportswriter Joe Posnanski. Co-sponsored by the Stuart A.
