Bound with History: History of Pop-Up Books

April 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm

Free

Two pop-up book artists, Shawn Sheehy and Kevin Steele, will talk about the history of pop-up books and discuss their creative work, and a short slide show of relevant items from the Rose Library’s collection will be shown. After the talks, Shawn Sheehy will provide a fun and brief instruction session in which the audience can learn how to make a simple pop-up.

To participate in Shawn’s mini pop-up workshop, you may want to prepare a few things in advance. Please save and print the image at the bottom of the registration page linked below on thick (80 pound) paper and have the following tools at the ready:

*X-acto knife or box cutter

*Ruler or straight edge
*Self-healing mat or thick cardboard to protect the work surface

Please register at http://emorylib.info/BoundwithHistorySeriesThree, and you will receive a confirmation with a Zoom link. This event is open to both Emory and non-Emory guests at no charge.
