Huntington Learning Center Offers a Free ACT/SAT Seminar
January 12 @ 11:30 am
Each new year brings another round of high school students who begin to focus on the college application process. Huntington Learning Center is proud to be a part of the journey for so many families across the nation with individualized prep programs to help students achieve their education goals.
Huntington Learning Center of Decatur is offering a free seminar in January: ACT or SAT?
Which test is right for your student? It is designed to help students and parents understand the world of standardized tests and choose the right test based on the student’s skills and strengths. “Many families don’t realize that both tests are now widely accepted,” explained Bill Boersma, owner of the Decatur HLC. “Having two options is a real benefit, as long as families understand that the tests have distinct differences. Choosing the right test can lead to a better score and can open doors for students.”
The Seminar is being help on January 12th at 11:30 AM at the Decatur Library. Families who are interested can call 678-786-7441 to reserve a seat. There is no charge or obligation.
Boersma also encourages students who need individualized SAT or ACT prep to contact Huntington about its highly successful test prep programs. “Every year we work with thousands of students to help them raise their college entrance exam scores and get into the colleges of their dreams,” he says. In a study of Huntington students graduating in 2018, the average increase for students after completing a prep program was 226 points on the SAT (a 22% increase) and 5.3 points on the ACT (a 24% increase) and the average scholarship offer totaled $57,000 per student (results are based on a survey of 4,157 Huntington students graduating in 2018).
