The 5th annual Maker Faire Atlanta is taking place in downtown Decatur this weekend.

Tech enthusiasts, crafters, and people who like to tinker in general will be presenting their projects.

The website describes the event as “the Greatest Show and Tell on Earth.” It says “There will also be a special interview with author Andy Weir over Skype on his book, and movie, ‘The Martian’ on Sunday. You will need a free ticket, but seating is limited. First come, first served.” The movie based on Weir’s book stars Matt Damon and hits theaters Friday, October 2.

The Faire will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 3 and again on Sunday, October 4 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. along North McDonough Street, the lot of the Callaway building, and at Decatur High School.
