The Oakhurst Neighborhood Association is kicking off its Oakhurst Jazz Nights fall concert series this week, inviting the community to weekly live jazz performances throughout September, according to a city newsletter.

Beginning with the Bonaventure Quartet this Thursday, Sept. 6, each week will feature a different jazz artist, including Kermit Walker, Diane Durrett and the Will Scruggs Trio.

The free concerts will take place on the lawn of The Solarium, located 321 W. Hill St. in Decatur. Each Thursday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., people can bring blankets (no lawn chairs are permitted) and listen to the music.

For a front-row view of the concert, candlelit bistro tables are available for reservation. Each table seats up to four and comes complete with chairs, table covers, and a custom candle-lit centerpiece. Reservations are $25 per table, per night, and can be made here.

The concerts are rain or shine and will move inside the Solarium in case of inclement weather.
