A new hotel in Decatur that’s been in the works for years has finally opened.

Vision Hospitality Group earlier this month announced the opening of the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton at 116 Clairemont Avenue.

The development was first announced in 2014.

The six-story hotel has 145 rooms and includes amenities like an indoor saltwater swimming pool, meeting spaces, a 24-hour business center, a gym, free breakfast and free WiFi. .
