FIGO Pasta closed its doors in 2017 and the space at 627 E College Ave. will have a new restaurant soon.

At its Sept. 3 meeting, the Decatur City Commission approved an alcohol license for Mr. Everything Cafe, a chain of restaurants with locations in Atlanta, Fairburn and New Orleans.

The co-owners of the space will be Bill Mabry and Duvwon Robinson.

Mabry told Decaturish he hopes to be open by the end of this month and expects to definitely be open by the first week of October.

He said Mr. Everything is an “upscale, fast casual dining restaurant.”

Mabry said the restaurant will have vegan and keto menu options.

“The food is really good,” Mabry said. “They do a great job grilling protein: shrimp, lamb, steak, chicken, salmon and all their vegetables are fresh. They pick them up down the street.”

Mabry said he thinks the franchise will be a good fit for Decatur.

“I’ve done some taste tests,” he said. “I did a market review. Based on me tasting their food and meeting people who came to the restaurant, we felt it was a good investment for that area.”
